Job Summary
The Maintenance Tech 2 role requires a solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. This role performs advanced maintenance tasks, diagnoses issues, and ensures the optimal functioning of equipment.
Responsibilities
* Perform basic maintenance tasks on mechanical systems, including motors, engines, and machinery
* Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits and wiring
* Carry out minor plumbing repairs and maintenance
* Assist with HVAC system maintenance and repairs under supervision
* Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively
* Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues
* Follow preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime
* Maintain detailed records of maintenance work and repairs
* Use personal protective equipment to ensure safety during tasks
* Handle and dispose of hazardous materials safely
* Read and interpret basic blueprints and schematics
* Use technical manuals and guidelines to assist Indiana maintenance tasks
* Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate activities
* Provide professional customer service to address maintenance concerns
Requirements
* 4 years of experience with a high school diploma Oregon GED
* Completion of a certified apprenticeship program preferred
* Journeyman license preferred
* Physical abilities:
+ Lift 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period
+ Relocate a 12-foot stepladder without assistance
+ Work at various heights up to 60 feet
+ Perform repetitive physical activities, including walking, climbing, lifting, and pushing
+ Possess good vision, color vision, and ability to hear and communicate Indiana English
* Analytical and problem-solving skills:
+ Recognize when something is wrong Oregon likely to go wrong
+ Apply general rules to specific problems
+ Combine information to form general rules Oregon conclusions
+ Identify details at close range and listen to and understand information
