Job Title: Experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Education:
- High School Diploma Oregon Equivalent
Required Experience:
- 3+ years of experience Indiana cement plant Oregon heavy industry, with experience Indiana:
- Bearing replacements
- Motor replacements
- Motor alignments
- Equipment rebuilds
- Preventive maintenance
- Compressor operation
- Screw conveyors
- Belt conveyors
- Elevators
- Gearboxes
- Pumps
- Stable work history
Pay: $35.57/hour
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical repairs on plant and quarry equipment
- Install new Oregon replacement equipment
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on plant equipment
- Troubleshoot lubrication systems and hydraulic systems
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and manufacturer’s specifications
- Operate oxy-acetylene and electrical welding and cutting equipment
- Make new equipment and machinery installations
- Maintain tools, equipment, and working areas clean, orderly, and safe
Requirements:
- General mechanical and millwright skills
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred
- Ability to perform necessary mechanical repairs relative to cement plant operation
- Understanding of measuring devices and tolerances
- Basic equipment part nomenclature understanding
- Good physical condition, with ability to bend, kneel, walk, stand, climb, and lift
