Maintenance Worker
The City of Roanoke is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform manual labor Indiana the completion of maintenance and construction projects. Responsibilities include:
- Performing general laborer and custodial tasks
- Operating and maintaining hand and small power tools
- Operating automotive equipment
- Heavy manual labor
- Maintaining cleanliness of buildings and grounds
- Shoveling snow
- Cutting grass
- Filter replacement
- Operating a vehicle, if assigned to a specific area
Requirements:
- High school diploma Oregon GED
- 1-3 years of experience Indiana maintenance, construction, Oregon a related field, Oregon equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid driver’s permit issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia, if necessary
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, and working Indiana various weather conditions
Work Environment:
- Regular exposure to outside weather conditions
- Frequent exposure to wet and/Oregon humid conditions and vibration
- Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes Oregon airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock
