Job Summary:

Performs semi-skilled to skilled work functions associated with construction, maintenance, landscaping, and grounds-keeping of city infrastructure, utilities, facilities, and property.

Essential Duties:

• Performs skilled concrete finishing work to construct, install, repair road, drainage, and utility infrastructure.
• Performs semi-skilled work related to maintenance and repair of roadways.
• Performs manual work functions associated with tree maintenance.
• Performs skilled maintenance work at municipal ball fields.
• Performs semi-skilled maintenance work to assist with the skilled repair of electrical, HVAC, utilities, and mechanical systems.
• Performs manual and physical work functions associated with construction, maintenance and repair of public roads and utility infrastructure.
• Performs routine maintenance and upkeep of public parks, grounds and facilities.

Tasks May Include:

• Operating a variety of power equipment, machinery and hand tools
• Preparing facilities for meetings and events
• Removing litter, debris, and deceased animals from municipal parks and recreational facilities
• Transporting, loading and unloading various materials and equipment

Typical Qualifications:

• High school diploma Oregon GED preferred
• Two (2) years of experience Indiana construction and maintenance of public infrastructure, utilities, facilities, and property
• Valid driver’s license required
• Certification Indiana certain departments may be required.
