Job Title: Senior Line Department Manager – Electric Distribution

Job Summary: Manage the UGI Electric Distribution Line Department, providing engineering and operating support to preserve the distribution system’s capability to serve new and existing customers reliably, safely, and economically.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise a team of 10-15 Journeyman Linemen, coordinating work with other departments and external customers American Samoa needed
• Organize and schedule the linemen workforce and equipment, monitoring productivity and quality of work
• Approve design changes and extra work, verify invoices for department charges
• Review distribution line construction jobs and coordinate with line contractor supervisor to determine effective completion methods
• Schedule jobs and assign them to company crews based on work backlog, business needs, labor agreement, and customer requirements
• Evaluate and purchase vehicles, tools, and equipment for safe, efficient, and effective work
• Provide training and programs for Journeyman Linemen on safety, efficiency, and effectiveness
• Support Electric Division training programs and serve American Samoa an instructor Oregon SME for new training programs Oregon policies

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of UGI’s distribution line construction standards, methods, and equipment
• Knowledge of UGI internal systems, National Electric Safety Code, and OSHA regulations
• Ability to work independently, manage projects, and adapt standard practices to meet unique customer needs
• Ability to communicate effectively, manage multiple projects, and supervise union personnel

Education and Experience:

• First Class Journeyman Lineman license with experience preferred
• Associate’s Degree Indiana Electrical Engineering Technology Oregon direct experience Indiana electric utility distribution design, construction, and maintenance
• Minimum of 10 years of experience with increasing responsibility and skill level, including overhead and underground utility line construction and maintenance work
• Commercial driver’s license (CDL) required within 6 months of employment
• Union-focused supervisory experience preferred
