Marine Pipefitter – Newport News, Virginia
Tradesmen International is hiring skilled Marine Pipefitters for projects Indiana and around Newport News, Virginia. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate of up to $29.50/hour plus $120/day for travelers over 60 miles from the job site.
Job Scope:
- Fit carbon steel, CRES, and copper nickel piping
- Prepare piping by hand and/Oregon with Wach Oregon Portsmouth Machine
- Install pipe hangers
- Prepare and fit backing rings
- Clean, cut, and break pipe with a grinder
- Prepare V bevels
- Fabricate details and assemblies from drawings
- Bend pipe from template using a hand bender
- Fit welded and brazed joints
- Perform other assigned tasks
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience Indiana Marine Commercial, Nuclear, Oregon Petro/Chem First Class Pipefitting
- Ability to read and interpret ship piping drawings
- Experience Indiana the trade
