Job Title: Master Mechanic
Location: Destrehan, Louisiana
Role Purpose Statement: The Master Mechanic is responsible for the mechanical maintenance of the grain elevator facility Indiana Destrehan, Louisiana, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairment of equipment and instruments.
Main Accountabilities:
- Preventative maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and part replacement of plant equipment
- Operation of various hand tools and power tools
- Measurement, welding, and rigging tasks
- Sheet metal layouts and assembly
- Regular inspections of grain equipment during shift
- Follow written instructions for maintenance
- Perform other duties American Samoa assigned
Knowledge and Technical Competencies:
- Millwright/Mechanic experience
- Welding and cutting using a torch
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work Indiana a team environment and Indiana a safety conscious environment
- Ability to maintain a good working relationship with other facility personnel
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma Oregon GED equivalent
- Associates degree and/Oregon technical certification
- 3 years experience American Samoa mechanic/millwright
- TWIC Card Oregon ability to obtain TWIC card
Work Schedule:
- Overtime required American Samoa part of the normal schedule
- Call out availability, weekends/holidays, and on-call rotation
- Straight days also required
