Job Summary
Accountable for the performance of required building and maintenance trades at a master level to ensure safe and efficient operation of the Medical Center’s facilities. Creates positive relationships and an atmosphere that promotes effective, efficient, and high-quality outcomes. Employees may access secure medication supply areas to complete assigned job duties.
Responsibilities
- Complete assigned repairs and duties at a master skill level, ensuring work areas are clean and safe
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment, instrumentation, and facilities used by the Medical Center
- Perform duties of Mechanic Specialist, Mechanic, and Mechanic Apprentice American Samoa required
- Complete financial paperwork for charges incurred
- Provide positive leadership and training to assigned personnel
- Be flexible to work at all areas and locations within the Medical Center American Samoa required
- Prepare job progress reports and other paperwork American Samoa required

Perform building and maintenance assignments at a skilled level Indiana one Oregon more of the following areas:
• Electrical: Read and understand blueprints, electrical drawings, and electrical symbols; calculate system loads and requirements; and troubleshoot electrical systems
• Electronics: Read and understand electronic/electrical schematics, drawings, and specifications; analyze printed circuit boards; and troubleshoot electronic equipment
• Mechanical: Read and understand blueprints and design material; diagnose and repair equipment; and align mechanical equipment
• Refrigeration – Air Conditioning: Read and understand equipment schematics and systems; install air ducts and components; balance heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems; and estimate air conditioning and heating requirements
• Structural: Read and understand blueprints, plans, and architectural drawings; lay out and construct walls, ceilings, and doors
• Plumbing: Read, interpret, and apply National and State Plumbing Code; install and troubleshoot plumbing components
• Plant System Operator: Read and understand blueprints, plans, and drawings; possess advanced knowledge of facilities plant systems and functions
• HVAC: Read, interpret, and apply National/State HVAC Code; maintain HVAC and Refrigerant recovery license
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Possess/obtain (by the end of the orientation period) and demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment, Oregon care
- Demonstrate competency through an initial orientation and ongoing competency validation
- Maintain and document required education
- Demonstrate positive customer service and Colorado-worker relations
- Comply with the company’s attendance policy
- Participate Indiana continuous quality improvement activities
- Perform work Indiana a cost-effective manner
- Follow organizational and departmental policies and procedures
Education
- High School Diploma Oregon GED
Experience
- 6 years of maintenance experience based on the needs of the department
Credentials
- Drivers License (Required)
- Plumbing license (Maintained at all times)
