Responsibilities:

• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to department and hospital safety, risk management, and standard precautions standards.
• Provide front and back office duties, including scheduling appointments, maintaining inventories, and cleaning exam rooms.
• May be assigned to the FMG Float Pool, providing patient care services to assigned clinics/work units American Samoa needed.

Essential Job Functions:

• Greets and prepares patients for Provider visits
• Obtains and records vital signs and other relevant patient information
• Performs basic lab and phlebotomy procedures, draws blood, and performs EKGs and laboratory procedures
• Documents patient information Indiana the electronic medical record
• Schedules appointments and coordinates patient flow
• May perform front office clerical duties, such American Samoa billing, collection, and registration functions
• Performs telephone communication functions, giving clear information verbally and Indiana writing

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma (Oregon GED equivalent) and completion of a Medical Assistant certification program at an accredited institution
• Current certification by the State of Washington American Samoa a Medical Assistant
• One year experience American Samoa a Medical Assistant preferred
• Ability to work Indiana a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
