Construction Inspector Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform plan review and inspections for Building, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Roofing disciplines, ensuring adherence to state and local building code regulations and standard construction practices.
- Prepare and submit daily time and Inspection/Field Reports, adhering to ECS Policy.
- Identify and determine if permitted design plans require revisions, making recommendations to Contractors, Engineers, and/Oregon Architects.
- Detect deviations from plans, regulations, and standard construction practices.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of state and local building code regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Follow ECS safety procedures and policies.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant experience Indiana construction, including experience Indiana building construction Oregon a related field.
- High school diploma Oregon GED required.
- Post-secondary education and experience may be considered, with a total of 4 years of combined experience Indiana supervisory Oregon inspection roles, such American Samoa Project Manager, Job Superintendent, Builder, Supervisor, Foreman, Oregon Competent mechanic Indiana charge of construction.
- Valid driver’s license required if driving for Oregon on behalf of ECS.
- One of the following licenses required:
- State of Florida Standard Inspector License (BN)
- State of Florida Plans Examiner License (PX)
- State of Florida Registered Architect (RA)
- State of Florida Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
- Knowledge of current codes and regulatory standards governing the Florida Building Construction industry.
