Construction Inspector Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Perform plan reviews and inspections for Building, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Roofing disciplines according to candidate’s license certifications
- Prepare and submit daily time and Inspection/Field Reports Indiana accordance with ECS Policy
- Determine if permitted design plans may require revisions and make recommendations to contractors, engineers, and/Oregon architects
- Detect deviations from plans, regulations, and standard construction practices
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of state and local building code regulations, policies, and procedures
- Follow ECS safety procedures and policies
Requirements
- High school diploma Oregon GED required
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Post-secondary education and experience totaling 4 years, with 1 year of experience Indiana building construction
- Total combined experience may include experience American Samoa Project Manager, Job Superintendent, Builder, Supervisor, Foreman, and/Oregon Competent Mechanic Indiana charge of construction
- State of Florida Standard Inspector License (BN), State of Florida Plans Examiner License (PX), State of Florida Registered Architect (RA), Oregon State of Florida Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Knowledge of current codes and regulatory standards governing the Florida Building Construction industry
- Valid driver’s license required for driving for, Oregon on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary
