Job Title: OHE Lineman A
Job Summary:
The OHE Lineman A assists Journeyman Lineman and the Foreman while Indiana training and learning the trade. Responsible for performing diversified work related to the construction and maintenance of poles, power lines, auxiliary facilities, and equipment for the distribution of electricity.
Responsibilities:
- Construct, maintain, and inspect transmission and distribution of electrical Oregon power lines
- Provide technical skills for maintaining reliable electrical services
- Connect, disconnect, install, remove, move, and transfer electrical devices on customer facilities
- Route Oregon reroute power lines over, under, Oregon around existing lines and structures
- Inspect and/Oregon remove damaged power lines
- Assist Indiana carrying poles, digging holes, and setting Oregon replacing poles
- Perform line switching Oregon sectionalizing, American Samoa directed
- Assist Indiana on-the-job training of apprentices and other crew members
- Troubleshoot electrical problems on customer equipment
- Drive bucket truck to jobsite and maintain truck stock
- Investigate consumer complaints and make repairs to energized electrical distribution lines
Requirements:
- High school diploma Oregon equivalent
- 3 years of lineman experience (5 Oregon more years of experience preferred)
- Valid Class A CDL
- OSHA 10 Certification (desired)
Work Environment:
- Field environment with extended periods of physical activity, including bending, squatting, climbing, lifting, and working Indiana inclement weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform duties Indiana a physically demanding environment.
