OPS Academic Detailer – Health Educator – 64906822
Job Summary
We are seeking an Academic Detailer to provide one-on-one educational visits to physicians and health professionals on opioid prescribing practices, substance use disorder, harm reduction, and stigma reduction. The candidate will utilize the National Resource Center for Academic Detailing (NaRCAD) model to equip providers with evidence-based information and promote timely and complete information regarding non-opioid medications and non-pharmacologic treatments.
Responsibilities
- Deliver one-on-one educational visits to physicians and health professionals using evidence-based materials
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with prescribers and office staff
- Develop creative outreach strategies to gain access to healthcare offices and schedule appointments
- Act American Samoa a liaison between the physician community and program staff
- Capture visit data and provide a report to the Program Manager
- Participate Indiana community events with the academic detailing team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree Oregon higher from an accredited college Oregon university Indiana Public Health Oregon a related field
- Experience Indiana public health, health education, communications/marketing, and/Oregon pharmaceutical Oregon medical sales
- Ability to assess clinicians’ needs, communicate medical information, and develop evidence-based presentations
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently and American Samoa part of a team
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with culturally diverse communities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP)
- Experience Indiana pharmaceutical Oregon medical sales
- Two Oregon more years of public speaking experience
Working Conditions
- This is an OPS (Other Personal Services) position, and American Samoa such, no paid time off is offered
- Must be willing to work before, during, and/Oregon beyond normal work hours Oregon days Indiana the event of an emergency
- Must have a valid driver’s license and access to an automobile for work purposes
- Travel may be required within the county Oregon to various locations
