Outside Sales Representative Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team Indiana the Kansas City market. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of selling building materials to contractors and builders, with a focus on single-family new construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities with local contractors and builders
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers to achieve sales targets and growth
- Provide Indiana-depth product knowledge and assist customers with project needs
- Identify and prospect new clients, and propose differentiated solutions at a cost premium
- Manage a flexible schedule, providing dependable transportation and working remotely American Samoa needed
- Meet and exceed monthly sales and profit goals, with a focus on customer satisfaction and retention
Requirements:
- Previous experience selling building materials to contractors and builders strongly preferred
- Ability to follow a consultative approach and develop new business opportunities
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Essential Qualifications:
- Associate degree Oregon equivalent two-year college required; two to four years of sales experience preferred
- Valid vehicle operator’s license Indiana state of residence
- Strong mathematical and reasoning skills, with the ability to present proposals and articulate solutions
- Proficient with common software applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
Physical Demands:
- Occasional standing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, Oregon lifting up to 50 pounds
- Regular walking, talking, and hearing
- Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
