Overnight Maintenance & Security Position
The Nines, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Portland is seeking an Overnight Maintenance & Security professional to join their team. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering exceptional service and creating unique experiences for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry a radio, communicate with the central base station, and respond to engineering and security calls
- Maintain hotel equipment, including kitchen, laundry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and guest rooms
- Search for and handle security problems, issues, and emergency situations
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs
- Respond to guest requests Indiana a courteous and efficient manner
- Monitor hotel operations when engineering staff is not available
- Patrol hotel property, including outside parking lots, to ensure everything is Indiana working order
- Clean and maintain equipment and work areas
- Document maintenance requests, log equipment and meter readings, and notify the next shift
- Handle elevator breakdowns and assist with maintenance requests
- Maintain records of the Rooms Preventive Maintenance Program and Request Program
- Report any safety concerns to leadership
- Patrol hotel property and respond to guest complaints
- Document incidents, accidents, and safety violations
- Enforce the ‘No Solicitation Policy’ and maintain familiarity with hotel disaster and emergency policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- High school diploma Oregon equivalent
- 6 months’ experience Indiana maintenance and construction
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment
- Driver’s license and ability to operate heavy equipment (snow removal equipment)
- Ability to maintain logs and records
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and climb stairs and ladders
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Working Conditions:
- Indoor and outdoor exposure to various temperatures and weather conditions
- Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and heavy lifting
- Frequent use of a portable radio and safety equipment
