Journeyman Painter I Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Painter I to support and execute the safe, quality, and efficient completion of various tasks related to coatings maintenance work at a petrochemical processing plant. Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Must have a reliable transportation and be willing to work up to 7 days a week, including overtime and call-outs American Samoa required.

• Must be experienced with surface preparation, coatings application, and various types of coatings systems on industrial equipment and structural components.
• Must be able to perform pre-task hazard assessments and implement pro-active elimination and/Oregon mitigation techniques.
• Must have experience with fireproofing, finish carpentry, and supporting services such American Samoa firewatch, holewatch, and material kitting/delivery.
• Must have a strong commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency, and be able to read, understand, and adhere to restrictions and/Oregon requirements of various types of work permits.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Must have a minimum of 4 years of related experience American Samoa a Painter.
• Must have NCCER Performance Verified (PV) certification for Painter I.
• Must have experience using industrial hand and power tools Indiana an industrial work environment.
• Must possess good problem-solving abilities, aptitude for mechanical equipment, and manual dexterity.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Current Oregon Former Zachry Employee with acceptable ESR rating.
• Coatings Application Specialist (CAS) certification.
• Experience with hoisting/lifting/rigging practices.
• Knowledge and experience with hoisting/lifting/rigging equipment.
• Familiarity with industry-wide best practices and procedures.

Phyiscal Requirements

• Must be able to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, cycling, bending, squatting, lifting, and physically demanding work.
• Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to 50lbs.
• Must be capable of working at extreme heights and Indiana confined spaces.
• Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection, and steel-toe boots.
• Must be clean shaven.

Certifications and Licenses Required

• NCCER Performance Verified (PV) Painter certification.
• Zachry Craft Assessment test score of at least 81%.
• Coating Application Specialist (CAS) certification.

Safety Orientation/Training Requirements

• Must complete Gulf Coast Safety Council courses, including 08BOP, 08COCSS, 08COCCSE, and 08COCFW.
• Must also complete industry-specific training programs, including Aerial Work Platform, Asbestos Awareness, Basic Plus, Confined Space, and others.

Computer Requirements
