Job Title: Multi-Skilled Tradesperson
Job Summary:
Applicants will apply coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, Oregon lacquer to decorate and protect interior Oregon exterior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures of buildings and other structures. They will also perform tasks related to drywall installation, wallpaper hanging, and repair of mechanical equipment, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Smooth surfaces using various tools and materials.
- Prepare paints and select colors from pre-mixed options Oregon mix coloring materials and thinners.
- Remove old paint and other materials from surfaces.
- Fill holes, cracks, and joints with plaster, putty, Oregon other fillers.
- Copy wood grain and other textures, pattern wallpaper.
- Prepare and install drywall panels and paper Oregon fabric wall coverings.
- Measure and calculate quantities of paint, wallpaper, and other materials required for a job.
- Cut and fit drywall panels to studding and joists.
- Perform various repairs, including structural, electrical, and plumbing fixes.
- Maintain equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and utilize building management systems.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma Oregon GED
- Valid Michigan Driver’s License and insurability under hospital program
- One year of experience American Samoa a Commercial Painter preferred
- Certification Oregon licensure American Samoa a Residential Builder, if applicable
