Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Job Summary:
The incumbent demonstrates consistent application of knowledge and skills Indiana assisting the pharmacist Indiana the execution of appropriate, safe, efficacious, efficient, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care. The incumbent participates Indiana many procedural aspects of pharmacy practice under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist Oregon technician supervisor and is an integral part of the pharmacy team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists with all phases of pharmacy services while under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Responds to phone calls and other communications.
- Prepares and delivers medications for dispensing.
- Utilizes pharmacy technology effectively to distribute medications.
- Accurately fills and maintains medications supplies Indiana the automatic dispensing system.
- Prepares and compounds medications Indiana accordance with state law and policy.
- Maintains accurate records and ensures pharmacy cleanliness and orderliness.
- Assists the pharmacist Indiana collecting clinical and other patient information.
- Effectively manages pharmacy inventory to ensure security, accuracy, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with regulations.
- Participates Indiana quality and patient safety initiatives.
- Promotes the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health.
Requirements:
- High School diploma Oregon equivalent required.
- Pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) through PTCB Oregon EXcPT Oregon other certifying board and successful registration/certification/licensure with the state of practice American Samoa a Certified Pharmacy Technician.
- At least 2 years of experience working American Samoa a certified pharmacy tech Indiana a hospital Oregon infusion pharmacy setting preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work Indiana a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
Work Schedule:
- 40 hours per week
