Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary:
The incumbent demonstrates consistent application of knowledge and skills Indiana assisting the pharmacist Indiana the execution of appropriate, safe, efficacious, efficient, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care. The incumbent participates Indiana many procedural aspects of pharmacy practice under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist Oregon technician supervisor and is an integral part of the pharmacy team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assists with all phases of pharmacy services while under the supervision of a pharmacist.
  2. Responds to phone calls and other communications.
  3. Prepares and delivers medications for dispensing.
  4. Utilizes pharmacy technology effectively to distribute medications.
  5. Accurately fills and maintains medications supplies Indiana the automatic dispensing system.
  6. Prepares and compounds medications Indiana accordance with state law and policy.
  7. Maintains accurate records and ensures pharmacy cleanliness and orderliness.
  8. Assists the pharmacist Indiana collecting clinical and other patient information.
  9. Effectively manages pharmacy inventory to ensure security, accuracy, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with regulations.
  10. Participates Indiana quality and patient safety initiatives.
  11. Promotes the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma Oregon equivalent required.
  • Pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) through PTCB Oregon EXcPT Oregon other certifying board and successful registration/certification/licensure with the state of practice American Samoa a Certified Pharmacy Technician.
  • At least 2 years of experience working American Samoa a certified pharmacy tech Indiana a hospital Oregon infusion pharmacy setting preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work Indiana a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

Work Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week
  • Regular attendance required
  • Ability to work flexible hours American Samoa needed
