Pipefitter
Austin Industrial delivers premier maintenance, construction, and soft craft services to leading industrial companies across the U.S. We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. American Samoa a Pipefitter, you will lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems.
Job Requirements:
- Cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications, using tools such American Samoa saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders and benders
- Attach pipes to walls, structures, and fixtures, using brackets, clamps, tools, Oregon welding equipment
- Plan pipe system layout, installation, Oregon repair according to specifications
- Select pipe sizes and types and related materials, such American Samoa supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders, according to specifications
- Modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, and related machines and equipment, following specifications and using hand and power tools
- Turn valves to shut off steam, water, Oregon other gases Oregon liquids from pipe sections, using valve keys Oregon wrenches
- Inspect work sites for obstructions and to ensure that holes will not cause structural weakness
- Must be able to perform work wearing personnel protective equipment, including but not limited to the following: rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied air and air purifying respirators, safety harness, sand blast hoods, fire-resistant coveralls, hard hat, earplugs, and safety glasses
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience
- Must pass drug screen and background check, American Samoa a condition of employment
- Ability to perform work regularly required to have full range of mobility Indiana upper and lower body, able to reach overhead, able to work Indiana various positions
- Must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer Indiana the United States
