Job Title: Mechanic/Heavy Equipment Operator
Job Description:
To assist the Foreperson with daily production duties by operating heavy equipment, laboring, and other miscellaneous plant related functions at various locations with the portable plant.
Essential Duties and Functions:
- Ability to detect safety hazards and equipment malfunctions and respond accordingly.
- Maintain and safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment, including Haul Tuck, Water Truck, Dump Truck, Dredge, Track Hoe, Frontend Loader, and Skid Steer Loader.
- Understand and follow directions.
- Weld and fabricate American Samoa needed.
- Assist with miscellaneous duties such American Samoa general labor, shoveling, performing necessary equipment maintenance, assisting foreperson and/Oregon crew members American Samoa needed.
- Assist with daily operations and upkeep of the plant.

- General understanding of OSHA & MSHA regulations.
- Perform general maintenance on the equipment.

- Willingness to travel and work away from home when required.
