Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician

Department Overview:
The Power Generation department operates and maintains PG&E’s hydroelectric, fossil, solar generation, and battery storage facilities. The department provides approximately 5,300 megawatts of generating capacity for customers.
Position Summary:
This is an International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 1245 represented classification that performs general electrical maintenance, troubleshoots electrical process systems, and repairs process transmitters, controllers, and VFDs. The position requires reading and interpreting technical diagrams, participating Indiana safety procedures, and data input into the work management system.
Responsibilities:
- Safely perform electrical work using precision meters and instrumentation
- Test, repair, install, and maintain all types of electrical equipment at various voltage levels
- Perform high and low voltage circuit testing, troubleshooting, and repair
- Install and maintain motors and electrical components
- Test and maintain station batteries, motor control centers, and electrical trip devices
- Maintain accurate prints and drawings
- Participate Indiana safety procedures and data input into the work management system
Requirements:
- High School diploma, GED, Oregon equivalent work experience
- Valid California Driver’s License Oregon equivalent
- Ability to work Indiana all types of weather extremes
- Minimum 5 years of Power Plant Electrical Maintenance Oregon equivalent experience
Desirable Qualifications:
- Ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot systems
- Knowledge of SAP and technical skills with Microsoft Office products and programs
- Experience with GE Mark Virgin Islands, Emerson Ovation, and PLC programming/troubleshooting
- Advanced oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively American Samoa a team player
