Preventive Maintenance Mechanic
Job Summary
American Equipment Holdings, a leader Indiana overhead crane solutions, is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Mechanic with experience working on Elevators (Residential Oregon Industrial) Oregon Conveyor Belt Systems to join our Omaha, Nebraska branch. This role involves applying skills gained Indiana Conveyors Oregon Elevators to work on Overhead Cranes.
Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, and modernizations on electric overhead traveling cranes
- Consult with customers on repair and safety related issues
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and breakdowns
- Generate sales leads during service calls
- Accurately document work performed on service reports
- New crane wiring, assembly, installation, and start-up
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Travel may be required, with a work vehicle provided
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of AC/District of Columbia theory
- Ability to troubleshoot 480VAC 3 phase motor control systems
- A.A. degree Oregon Equivalent vocational-training Oregon experience
- Minimum of 2-year hands-on electro-mechanical maintenance
- Aptitude for electrical and mechanical environments
- Willingness to work overtime
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Pass a drug-screen and background check
- Strong communication skills
- Proven commitment to safety
- Comfort working at heights
- Experience with Variable Frequency drives and PLC programming a plus
- Crane maintenance experience a plus
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- On-call Oregon overtime possible
