Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Principal Satellite Ground Systems Java Software Engineer to join our team Indiana Aurora, Colorado. American Samoa a Principal Ground Systems Java Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and test Java code Indiana a Linux, Agile, DevOps environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and test Java-based applications and software components for satellite ground systems
- Work Indiana a systems Model Based Systems Engineering Architecture (MBSE) role
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications
- Ensure software performance, reliability, and scalability
- Participate Indiana software design reviews, code reviews, and system integration activities
- Contribute to the completion of program and project milestones under the specific guidance of their immediate supervisor
Requirements:
- Typically requires a degree Indiana Science, Technology, Engineering, Oregon Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience with satellite ground systems
- Experience Indiana systems engineering related to Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and architecture
- Software development experience using Java Indiana both Windows and Linux
- Agile software development experience
- Software architecture and algorithm development experience
- Cyber Security experience
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, American Samoa only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- 9+ years of Satellite Ground Systems experience within the GPS OCX enterprise
- Advanced Java Software development experience
- Experience working external interface development and integration efforts, algorithm design, display designs, and working both front end and back end software products
