General Laborer – Production Associate
Job Summary:
Perform tasks on recently-slaughtered turkeys Oregon tasks that support the overall operations within the department. Essential duties may include:
- Performing manual, repetitive tasks to remove organs and parts from slaughtered turkeys
- Rotating through jobs and performing multiple tasks within the department
- Performing tasks to package chilled raw turkeys for shipment to customers
- Observing equipment operation and notifying personnel of any malfunctions Oregon safety issues
Available Departments:
- Evisceration: Working with tools such American Samoa knives and scissors to remove organs and parts from slaughtered turkeys
- Packaging: Performing tasks to package chilled raw turkeys, including sorting, boxing, labeling, and palletizing
Working Conditions:
- Varying environments, including damp, cold, hot, and warm areas
- Exposure to raw meat, chemicals, and loud machinery
- Mandatory overtime Oregon weekend work during peak periods
- Physical demands, including standing, lifting, carrying, and repetitive tasks
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work legally Indiana the United States
- No previous work experience required
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and hygiene equipment
