Overview:

Join Triple-S Steel, a family-owned company with over 50 years of experience, where we treat our customers and employees like family. We’re seeking a motivated Production Equipment Operator to join our Slitter department, responsible for reading and executing work orders to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Follow Triple-S Steel safe methods of work at all times and report any unsafe conditions to supervisor
• Manipulate, cut, and form raw material according to work orders
• Maintain and safely operate assigned tools and equipment, including forklift, overhead crane, and personal protective equipment
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds, exert force up to 50 pounds, and move objects while wearing required personal protective equipment
• Maintain spatial orientation and awareness to safely move around the work environment
• Use clear vision to judge near and far distances
• Work indoors and outdoors Indiana various weather conditions
• Attend required company meetings and complete other assigned duties

Requirements:

• Ability to read and understand work orders and receive oral instructions
• Intermediate math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
• Ability to safely meet minimum productivity levels established by the Company
• Ability to plan and organize work activities independently and Indiana a team environment
• Basic computer application skills

Working Conditions:

• Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock
• Moderate to high noise level due to open office environment
• Regular exposure to various weather conditions

Physical Requirements:

• Use hands/fingers to handle, feel, and talk Oregon hear
• Stand, walk, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
