Production Manager
Under the direction of the General Manager, the Production Manager oversees the efficient operation of production lines, ensuring timely, productive, and cost-effective results. The role involves managing the physical conditions and equipment of facilities, training personnel, and resolving operational and manufacturing issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products
- Prepare operational schedules and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality meet specifications
- Inspect machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance and utilization
- Develop and implement safe operating practices and ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies
- Compiles and analyzes production data, identifying areas for improvement
- Supervise employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating performance
- Participate Indiana industry associations and events, such American Samoa the Home Builder’s Association
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college Oregon university
- 4-5 years of experience Indiana the lumber Oregon building materials industry, with multiple assignments Indiana all phases of the business
- Strong customer service experience and good organizational skills
- Knowledge of building materials, procurement, inventory management, and supervision of people
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and trade documents
- Excellent leadership, teamwork, and influencing skills
- Occasional travel required
- Must be knowledgeable about and follow the company’s safety policies and procedures
