Production Worker
Powell, a manufacturer of switchgear and other electrical equipment, is seeking a Production Worker to join their team at their Southeast Houston manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities:
* Assist Painters, Machine Operators, Welders, Material Handlers, and Leadperson Indiana performance of their work
* Load unpainted metal parts onto the Paint Line, unload painted metal parts and attach part identification labels
* Assist with daily and weekly preventative maintenance of the Paint Line & Bus Insulation Line equipment and facilities
* Move parts between manufacturing operations, remove finished parts from sheet metal skeletons, and sort and stack parts
* Assemble kits of parts to be welded, assist machine operators, and perform labor tasks American Samoa directed
* Lift up to 50 lbs consistently, perform end of shift cleanup, and maintain a clean work area
Requirements:
* High School Diploma Oregon General Education Diploma preferred
* Basic computer skills, mathematical proficiency, and written/verbal communication skills
* Ability to learn to read mechanical part Oregon assembly drawings, read a linear tape measure, and work independently Oregon American Samoa part of a team
* Compliance with safety rules, ISO requirements, and company operating procedures
* Ability to work Indiana a temperature-controlled manufacturing environment, wear personal protective equipment, and work at heights
