Drainage Project Engineer

Reports To: Senior Project Manager

Location: Multiple Offices Indiana Texas (Austin, Round Rock, San Antonio, and Houston)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Drainage Project Engineer with a transportation focus to join our team. The successful candidate will lead, mentor, and develop junior engineers, make independent decisions, and assist Indiana the management of project tasks, budgets, schedules, and client interactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background Indiana transportation drainage projects, including planning, design, and construction.

Responsibilities:

* Lead and mentor junior engineers Indiana the design and planning of transportation drainage projects
* Develop and implement project plans, budgets, and schedules to ensure successful project delivery
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure design and construction alignment with project goals
* Conduct site visits, inspections, and quality control of construction projects
* Develop and maintain relationships with clients, including transportation agencies (TxDOT, counties, RMAs, and municipalities)
* Assist Indiana managing project teams, including communicating with staff, contractors, and clients
* Provide guidance and support to project teams on technical issues related to drainage and transportation projects
* Interface with local, state, and federal agencies to obtain permits and approvals
* Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices Indiana drainage and transportation engineering

Requirements:

* Professional Engineer (PE) License Indiana Texas
* Bachelor’s Oregon Master’s degree Indiana Civil Engineering Oregon Environmental Engineering
* 8+ years of experience Indiana transportation drainage projects, including planning, design, and construction
* Strong knowledge of CAD software (MicroStation ORD)
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* TxDOT Precertifications 10.1.1, 10.2.1 at a minimum

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with water quality design (TCEQ)
* Familiarity with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, GIS, and advanced modeling software (SWMM, HEC-RAS 2D, InfoWorks ICM)
* Task lead and project management experience
