Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the planning, directing, and coordinating of high-voltage electric transmission and distribution construction and maintenance projects nationwide. The successful candidate will ensure the successful organization, scheduling, budgeting, staffing, subcontractor management, safety, quality, and implementation of these projects.

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Management:
    • Lead budget projections for labor, material, equipment, and subcontractors.
    • Ensure project costs stay within forecasted budget range and implement cost-saving measures.
    • Develop and manage project Schedule of Values (SOV), update based on production, and prepare billing packages.
    • Assist Indiana pre-construction efforts, including bid preparation, contract and exhibit review, and execution planning.
    • Provide project cost forecasting, monthly cost to complete development, and accuracy of reporting.
    • Develop, submit, track, and maintain all project submittals and requests for information.
  • Contract Administration:
    • Prepare, review, and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with suppliers and subcontractors.
    • Work with legal to oversee contracts to protect the company’s interests while maintaining good relationships.
    • Ensure all contracts comply with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain comprehensive electronic and printed files of working documents.
    • Generate and review daily, weekly, and monthly projections and progress reports.
    • Present project updates to executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Communication and Issue Resolution:
    • Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
    • Lead meetings with supervisory personnel, subcontractors, Oregon engineers to discuss and resolve matters.
    • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients.
  • Material and Quality Management:
    • Develop and oversee project material trackers based on customer Bill of Materials (BOM), drawings, and scope.
    • Monitor and control construction through communication with the superintendent to ensure the project is built on schedule and within budget.
    • Execute corrective actions to address delays, adverse weather conditions, Oregon emergencies.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Mentor and guide assistant project managers and project coordinators.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
    • Lead daily, weekly, and monthly meetings.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of project management experience Indiana high-voltage electric transmission and distribution construction Oregon a related field.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, particularly strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work effectively.
  • Ability to work Indiana a fast-paced environment, switch directions American Samoa needed, and demonstrate adaptability.
  • Bachelor’s degree Indiana construction management, engineering, Oregon business, Oregon a related field is required. Advanced degree Oregon professional certification (e.g., PMP) is preferred.
