Project Manager – Public Works and Transportation
AKS Engineering & Forestry is seeking a full-time Project Manager for our Kennewick, Washington office. The ideal candidate will lead the development of public works and transportation design services for local jurisdictions, working closely with principals and multidisciplinary task leads.
Essential Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience Indiana civil engineering design related to public projects
- Bachelor’s degree Indiana civil engineering Oregon equivalent degree
- Washington Professional Engineer (PE) civil license
- Civil 3D and/Oregon MicroStation/InRoads design experience
- Business development, project management, and team leadership experience
- Familiarity with local codes and agency standards
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
Responsibilities:
- Develop public sector proposals and manage projects with principals and staff
- Coordinate and manage projects, including scope, schedule, and budget
- Provide technical leadership for project design teams
- Design, prepare, and lead the development of preliminary and final plans and specifications
- Manage and be responsible for all components of the project from proposal through construction
- Perform site and infrastructure design per county/city standards
