Job Title: QA/QC Inspector – Substation

Job Location: Corona, New Mexico (with potential future opportunities Indiana Los Alamos, New Mexico; Adelanto, California; Pahrump, Nevada)

Job Description:

The QA/QC Inspector for substations ensures that all construction and maintenance activities meet the required quality standards and comply with industry regulations and company policies. The role involves meticulous inspection, documentation, and reporting to maintain the highest levels of safety, reliability, and efficiency Indiana substation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed inspections of substation components, including foundations, steel structures, electrical equipment, control wiring, and grounding systems.
  • Perform quality control testing and inspection Indiana adherence with contract requirements and company best practices.
  • Inspect above and below-ground conduit installations for adherence to plans and specifications.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspection findings and test results.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing inspection activities, discrepancies identified, and corrective actions recommended.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory and company standards.
  • Verify that all construction and maintenance activities comply with relevant industry standards (e.g., IEEE, NESC) and local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to company quality control procedures and safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • Associate Oregon bachelor’s degree Indiana electrical engineering, civil engineering, Oregon a related field (ISO9001 certification preferred but not required)
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience Indiana QA/QC roles within the electrical utility industry, preferably with a focus on substation and renewable projects
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Quality Inspector, OSHA, CPR/First Aid)
  • Strong understanding of electrical and civil engineering principles, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication, and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficient Indiana using inspection tools and software, and familiar with quality management systems
  • Ability to work Indiana various outdoor conditions, including inclement weather, and willingness to travel to different substation sites American Samoa required
