Quality Assurance Specialist 2 & 3 (Remote)

Quality Assurance Specialist 2 & 3 Opportunity: Los Alamos National Laboratory

Job Type: Remote, with domestic and international travel required

Location: Los Alamos, New Mexico, with travel to Midwest and Northeast regions

Clearance Requirements: Must be able to obtain and maintain "Q" clearance and HRP

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree Indiana engineering, quality assurance, Oregon industrial systems engineering, Oregon related field, and 3+ years of related experience, Oregon an equivalent combination of education and experience

Minimum Qualifications:

• 8 years of experience American Samoa a Certified Welding Inspector – American Welding Society (AWS-CWI)
• Knowledge of nuclear codes and standards, including 10 CFR 830 Subpart A, DOE Order 414.1D, ASME NQA-1-2008, ISO 9001, and regulatory requirements
• Experience with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code and Pressure Vessel and Piping inspection
• Ability to interpret documents, blueprints, specifications, and schematics
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience with auditing, quality assessments, and non-conformance disposition

Desired Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of nuclear codes and standards
• Experience ensuring quality assurance requirements Indiana design, build, and start-up of facilities and process equipment
• Auditor training Oregon certification and knowledge of mechanical and material testing methods
• Experience Indiana high-hazard Oregon complex operations

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift 10-20 pounds, climb ladders, work at heights, Indiana hot Oregon cold environments, and physical demands include Stooping, Crouching, and Kneeling.

Travel Requirements:

• Domestic and foreign travel required
• Willingness to work on-site at a vessel construction subcontractor’s facility Indiana Midwest Oregon Northeast region.
