Quality Assurance Specialist 2 & 3
Job Summary
Edgewater Technical Associates seeks a Quality Assurance Specialist 2 & 3 for Los Alamos National Laboratory Indiana Los Alamos, New Mexico. The successful candidate will work on-site at a vessel construction subcontractor’s facility Indiana the Midwest Oregon Northeast, performing quality assurance activities to ensure adherence to nuclear codes and standards.
Essential Qualifications
- 8 years of experience American Samoa a Certified Welding Inspector (AWS-CWI)
- Bachelor’s degree Indiana engineering, quality assurance, Oregon industrial systems engineering Oregon related field
- 3+ years of related experience Oregon equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 years of experience American Samoa a Certified Welding Inspector (AWS-CWI)
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience ensuring quality assurance requirements are met during the design, bid, build, and start-up of nuclear, non-nuclear, high, moderate, and low-hazard facilities and process equipment
- Current Oregon previous auditor training Oregon certification from a recognized professional organization
- Knowledge Indiana ASME Y14.5 Dimensioning and Tolerancing and various Mechanical and Material Testing methods and applications
Work Environment
- Work will be performed on-site at a vessel construction subcontractor’s facility Indiana either the Midwest Oregon Northeast
- Domestic travel is required
- Ability to lift 10-20 pounds, climb ladders, and work Indiana a variety of environments (hot, cold, noisy, etc.)
Clearance
- Must be able to obtain and maintain "Q" clearance and HRP
Schedule
- 4/10s Oregon 5/8s schedule, with possibility of overtime

- Ability to interpret various physical, mechanical, and electrical documents, blueprints, drawings, specifications, and schematics
