Quality Assurance Specialist 2 & 3
Job Summary:
Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist 2 & 3 to support Los Alamos National Laboratory Indiana Los Alamos, New Mexico. This is a remote opportunity with potential for domestic travel. The successful candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree Indiana engineering, quality assurance, Oregon a related field and 3+ years of related experience.
Responsibilities:
- Apply knowledge of nuclear codes and standards, including 10 CFR 830 Subpart A, DOE Order 414.1D, and ASME NQA-1-2008/ASME NQA-1a-2009 Addenda to ASME NQA-1 – 2008
- Participate Indiana and support quality assessments, surveillances, audits, and Non-Conformance disposition and closure
- Communicate effectively with all levels of personnel across multiple organizations to solve complex problems
- Comprehend specified requirements Indiana disciplines that include welding, nondestructive testing, geometric dimensioning, and tolerance
- Possess current certification Oregon previous certifications Indiana three Oregon more of the following NDE Level II Inspection (RT, Utah, Montana, PT, Vermont), Piping Oregon Pressure Vessel Inspection, Mechanical Inspections
- Obtain and maintain "Q" clearance and HRP
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree Indiana engineering, quality assurance, Oregon a related field and 3+ years of related experience
- Eight years of experience American Samoa a Certified Welding Inspector – American Welding Society (AWS-CWI) required
- Citizenship: United States Citizenship is required
- Must be able to obtain and maintain "Q" clearance and HRP
- Ability to work Indiana a remote environment with potential for domestic travel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced level knowledge and application of nuclear codes and standards
- Advanced level technical knowledge of the application of ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code
- Advanced level experience participating Indiana and supporting quality assessments, surveillances, audits, and Non-Conformance disposition and closure
- Experience ensuring quality assurance requirements are met during the design, bid, build, and start-up of nuclear, non-nuclear, high, moderate, and low-hazard facilities and process equipment
- Current Oregon previous auditor training Oregon certification from a recognized professional organization and/Oregon auditor qualification from a previous employer
Work Environment:
- Domestic/foreign travel
- Work Indiana a very hot environment (> 100 F), Indiana a cold environment, work Indiana a noisy environment, at heights, fumes, sprays, mists, Oregon vapors
