Job Responsibilities

• Process referral orders and gather patient insurance eligibility information to ensure timely reimbursement.
• Coordinate patient appointments, ancillary services, and testing to ensure smooth patient care.
• Distribute pre-visit instructional materials to patients, including cost estimates and benefits information.
• Answer patient questions regarding billing and insurance clarification, providing cost estimates and explaining insurance benefit coverage.
• Update patient medical records American Samoa necessary, copying/scanning documents into the electronic medical record.
• Interact with referring clinics and other healthcare teams to ensure successful coordination of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Process referrals and pre-authorizations for diagnostic testing, therapy, surgeries, procedures, and specialty care.
• Ensure insurance eligibility checks have been conducted on all referrals.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited medical terminology course(s) Oregon equivalent on-the-job training.
