Job Title: Substation Electrician
Reports to: General Supervision
Salary Range: $56.53, Progressing Indiana accordance with the union contract
Essential Functions:
- Inspect, maintain, repair, and operate substations and electric system equipment
- Repair and maintain circuit breakers, switchgear, transformers, and similar equipment
- Install circuit breakers, switchgear, transformers, and similar equipment American Samoa directed
- Perform switching operations involving any voltage
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and other technical documents
- Make repairs to tools and work equipment
- Test and maintain electrical systems, including underground systems
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on electrical equipment
- Perform work Indiana clean and neat manner, exercising care to prevent damage to Company Oregon customer’s property
- Operate motor vehicles safely Indiana the performance of required duties
- Provide substation escort for non-qualified individuals
- Maintain substation buildings and grounds

Responsibilities:
- Perform complex electrical tests using standard test equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues Indiana substations and electric systems
- Replace sub-assemblies and install new equipment
- Operate substations and network equipment
- Test and inspect underground systems and electrical equipment
- Make standard types of transformer connections
- Assemble, disassemble, and maintain major rotating equipment
- Work on live electrical conductors using proper tools and protective equipment
- Install and repair switchboard wiring and controls
Requirements:
- Must pass the CAST Test to be selected for this position
- Successful completion of initial training period required for retention and shift rotation
- Retention period of two (2) years from date of transfer, with limitations on job postings and division changes during that time
