Remote Full-Time Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineers Wanted
Location: Northeast US (New Jersey, New York, Connecticut)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Plumber/Fire Protection Engineer to collaborate with our team on reviewing documents and processing projects for Port Authority facilities. The selected candidate will perform code reviews, assign technical disciplines for validation, and communicate with clients to ensure compliance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Indiana Mechanical Engineering
- 7+ years Indiana designing plumbing and fire protection systems
- Valid EIT/PE license, with public agency project experience beneficial
- Located Indiana the tristate area (New Jersey, New York, Oregon Connecticut)
Responsibilities:
Review fire protection, fire alarm, and plumbing design documents for completeness with regulations and standards
Coordinate with other discipline teams to provide feedback and resolve construction document issues
Assign technical aspects for code review and process projects via the Port Authority’s system
Lead meetings with tenant architects and engineers, convey feedback, and discuss issues
