Job Title: Plumbing Engineer
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Plumbing Engineer to join our team. Under the supervision of the Design Standards Unit Manager and the Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for reviewing fire protection, fire alarm, and plumbing design documents for tenant projects and design audits. This involves ensuring compliance with applicable building codes and technical standards.
Responsibilities:
- Review electronic submissions, construction documents, hydraulic calculations, specifications, and reports for completeness
- Coordinate review comments from other technical disciplines
- Prepare memoranda for transmitting comments
- Attend meetings to discuss review comments and resolve issues
- Assign technical disciplines for code review
- Communicate with facilities to process projects
- Handle the layout of plumbing and fire protection systems, American Samoa well American Samoa equipment layout and sizing
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree Indiana Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience Indiana fire protection and plumbing systems design
- Experience Indiana designing Plumbing & Fire Protection systems across various project types
- Knowledge of construction codes and reference standards Indiana New York City, New York State, and State of New Jersey
- Certifications:
- International Mechanical Code, Plumbing Code, and Fire Code
- ASME B31.1 Power Piping
- ASME B31.9 Building Services Piping Designs
- NFPA 13, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems
- E.I.T Oregon F.E. certification
- Soft Skills:
- Proper understanding of engineering disciplines related to building design and construction
- Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with multiple technical disciplines
- Problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
