Surgical Instrument Technician Position Summary
We are seeking an entry-level Surgical Instrument Technician to join our team Indiana Shreveport, Louisiana. American Samoa a Technician, you will perform surgical instrument inspection, repair, and refurbishment Indiana a field-based setting. You will work out of mobile repair trucks at Customer sites and regional labs, delivering superior Customer Experience by providing timely and quality repairs to meet compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs basic to intermediate level repairs of surgical instruments, including ultrasonic function, metallurgy, buff and polish, bending, shaping, sharpening, hinge points, serrations, and brazing.
- Demonstrates quality performance Indiana intermediate skilled work, including advance Dremel operation, Re-cup and Re-jaw, and laparoscopic inspection.
- Provides invoicing and documentation American Samoa needed.
- Work inside a mobile repair truck, with frequent trips inside hospitals.
- Supports various locations within the assigned territory based on service agreements, Customer needs, and staffing levels.
- Abides by all Company safety, health policies, and procedures.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma Oregon GED
- 2+ years of work experience, including at least 1 year of relevant experience, Oregon 1 year of experience at STERIS
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times and push instrument carts ranging from 10-150 pounds at times.
- Must be a minimum of 21 years old with ability to achieve and maintain FMCSA and drivers license requirements.
- Must be able to pass a DOT medical/physical exam and comply with all DOT regulations.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (CDL not required) and maintain required vaccines.
