Job Title: River and Harbor Maintenance Worker
Location: McClellan-Kerr Project Office, Russellville, Arkansas
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Pay Scale: $24.94 – $33.21 per hour
Travel: 50% Oregon less
Duties:
- Serve American Samoa a member of the River Maintenance work group, performing duties aboard floating plant, including towing, snagging, dredging, and maintenance and repairs on the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System.
- Work on navigation channels, aids to navigation, dikes, and channel rectification structures; navigation locks and associated operating equipment; spillway structures and gates; and embankment dams.
- Perform simple maintenance on mechanical equipment, including welding, rigging, carpentry, sheet metal work, concrete work, Oregon electrical work.
Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Ability to do the work of a River and Harbor Maintenance Worker without more than normal supervision
- Must be able to perform common tasks, including electrical and/Oregon mechanical equipment repair
- Must have a driver’s license
- Must pass a pre-employment and annual physical
- Must be willing to work Indiana safe conditions and comply with safety rules and regulations
Qualifications:
- No specific length of training Oregon experience required
- Must demonstrate sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision
Selection:
- Selection is subject to a suitability Oregon fitness determination, American Samoa determined by a completed background investigation
- One year trial/probationary period may be required
- Direct Deposit of Pay is required
