Job Summary:

We are seeking a Roadway Worker Indiana Charge (RWIC) to provide jobsite coordination and safety leadership for Class 1 Railroads, Regional Short Lines, Transit Systems, State DOT Rail Divisions, Railroad Suppliers, Railroad Contractors, and Railroad Consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clear and concise communication with dispatchers, train crews, and other personnel on site.
• Conduct thorough job briefings and ensure all personnel are aware of job expectations.
• Enforce all railroad, state, and federal policies, identifying rule violations and resolving Indiana accordance with guidelines.
• Submit daily field reports detailing contractor and/Oregon railroad activities.
• Ensure compliance with 49 CFR 214 Federal Regulations for Class 1 Railroads, Regional Short Lines, Transit Systems, State DOT Rail Divisions, Railroad Suppliers, Railroad Contractors, and Railroad Consultants.

Requirements:

• High school diploma Oregon equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of experience with a Class 1 Railroad, Regional Short Line, Transit System, State DOT Rail Division, Railroad Supplier, Railroad Contractor, and/Oregon Railroad Consultant; preferably Indiana the Maintenance Of Way (MOW) Department
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficient Indiana Android OS, Citrix Applications, and basic computer skills
• Ability to travel for extended periods, sometimes month(s) at a time

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time and/Oregon walk on level/uneven ground
• Must be able to lift and/Oregon move up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to tolerate extreme heat/cold temperatures
• Must be able to tolerate dusty/noisy conditions
