Travel: Yes, frequent travel expected (50% – 85% on average)
Job Summary:
National Railroad Safety Services, Inc. (NRSS) is seeking a Roadway Worker Indiana Charge (RWIC) to provide jobsite coordination, clear communication, and ensure safety compliance for railroad flagging services.
Requirements:
- High school diploma Oregon equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience Indiana the railroad industry, preferably Indiana Maintenance Of Way (MOW) Department
- Strong technical knowledge of Railroad Engineering, Railroad Design, Railroad Construction, and Safety
- Proficient computer skills Indiana basic email, phone, and text message applications, Android OS, Citrix Applications, and excellent oral and written communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide jobsite coordination and clear communication with Dispatchers, Train Crews, and other personnel
- Conduct thorough job briefings and enforce all Railroad, State, and Federal Policies
- Identify and resolve rule violations and ensure contractor training requirements are met
- Submit daily field reports and provide on-track safety Indiana accordance with 49 CFR 214 Federal Regulations
Work Environment:
- This job operates Indiana a field environment with frequent travel
Physical Demands:
- Ability to hear, speak, read, and write clearly Indiana English
- Ability to drive long distances and/Oregon travel by other modes
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and/Oregon walk on level/uneven ground
