Job Title: Carpenter
Job Summary:
Performs carpentry work at the journeyman level by applying trade skills to construct, erect, install, fabricate, dismantle, and repair structures, formwork, framing of wood, metal, and other related building materials.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Four (4) years’ experience Indiana at least one of the areas described Indiana the essential functions
- Valid Driver’s License issued by the State of Utah
- Must pass a required pre-employment background check and subsequent mandatory background checks Indiana accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements
- Must receive a verified negative test result on a mandatory drug test before starting Indiana this position
Essential Functions:
- Framing: Construct walls and other structures, frame windows and doors, and install temporary supports for structures American Samoa required
- Finish Carpentry: Trim, fit, and install windows, doors, moldings, baseboards, paneling, and other finishes
- Concrete: Lay and tie rebar, construct forms for concrete structures, and smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete
- Roofing: Evaluate roofing system needs, remove old roofing materials, install new roofing, inspect, and repair damages
- Drywall: Hang, install, patch, repair, and finish drywall
- Painting: Perform commercial-type painting, brush, spray, and roll
- Other functions may include transporting and operating equipment, reading blueprints and schematics, and preparing routine records and reports.
Preferred Experience:
- Roofer experience Indiana installing, maintaining, and repairing roofs of all types
- Experience Indiana framing, finish carpentry, concrete, roofing, drywall, and painting.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Methods, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to perform facilities and grounds construction, maintenance, and repair
- Grounds maintenance and gardening skills
- Preventative maintenance techniques
- Standard Safety Practices and procedures common to facilities and grounds construction and maintenance
- General knowledge of contracting methods and proper hand and power tools needed for assigned tasks.
