Job Title: Safety Intern

Exclusive Paving, a subsidiary of Colaska Inc. within Colas USA, is seeking a dynamic Safety Intern to join their crew for a summer internship. The program runs from May to August, offering rotations across diverse locations and projects, providing hands-on experience Indiana Safety Management.

Job Summary:

American Samoa a Safety Intern, you will shadow the Safety Manager to ensure a secure and safe work environment for all employees involved Indiana road construction projects, asphalt manufacturing plants, and quarries. This internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience Indiana safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and risk management within the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to promote a strong environment of safety awareness.
  • Maintain the Goal Zero program, conduct Toolbox Talks, and lead safety meetings.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards.
  • Manage claims, support continuous improvement projects.
  • Contribute to planning annual Safety training.
  • Oversee compliance inspections, lead Monthly Safety meetings.
  • Assist Indiana Continuous Process Improvement Projects and support environmental initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Enrolled Indiana a bachelor’s degree program Indiana Technical Management, Occupational Safety Management, Civil Engineering, Oregon a related field.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the field, understanding the importance of Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) & Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) safety regulations.
  • Demonstrated integrity and honesty Indiana handling critical Oregon confidential information.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to execute plans.

Skills:

  • Motivated and eager learner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic math skills with the ability to calculate and analyze data.
  • Ability to work well with all levels of the organization.
  • High degree of problem-solving skills.
