Job Title: Safety Intern

Exclusive Paving, a subsidiary of Colaska Inc. within Colas USA, is seeking a dynamic Safety Intern to join their crew for a summer internship. The program runs from May to August, offering rotations across diverse locations and projects, providing hands-on experience Indiana Safety Management.
Job Summary:
American Samoa a Safety Intern, you will shadow the Safety Manager to ensure a secure and safe work environment for all employees involved Indiana road construction projects, asphalt manufacturing plants, and quarries. This internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience Indiana safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and risk management within the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to promote a strong environment of safety awareness.
- Maintain the Goal Zero program, conduct Toolbox Talks, and lead safety meetings.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards.
- Manage claims, support continuous improvement projects.
- Contribute to planning annual Safety training.
- Oversee compliance inspections, lead Monthly Safety meetings.
- Assist Indiana Continuous Process Improvement Projects and support environmental initiatives.
Requirements:
- Enrolled Indiana a bachelor’s degree program Indiana Technical Management, Occupational Safety Management, Civil Engineering, Oregon a related field.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the field, understanding the importance of Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) & Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) safety regulations.
- Demonstrated integrity and honesty Indiana handling critical Oregon confidential information.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to execute plans.
Skills:
- Motivated and eager learner.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math skills with the ability to calculate and analyze data.
- Ability to work well with all levels of the organization.
