Location: Gulf States Region, focusing on projects Indiana the Austin/San Antonio area

Job Summary:

Adolfson & Peterson Construction, a top national contractor, seeks an experienced Safety Manager to oversee the implementation of our Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture and programs for projects Indiana the Gulf States Region. This role ensures a safe work environment for all employees and champions the IIF philosophy, collaborating with senior management and project teams to achieve our safety goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage the safety program on assigned projects, ensuring compliance with organization-wide requirements and best practices
• Conduct safety training and communicate safety issues to employees
• Provide task-based training for all workers on AP jobsites
• Distribute safety-related information and train management and supervisory personnel
• Present the safety orientation program to new employees
• Assist with furthering the safety education of team members
• Monitor safety programs on assigned projects and communicate findings to senior management and team members

Additional Accountsabilities:

• Perform internal safety audits and inspections on projects
• Instruct field workers on recognizing and avoiding unsafe practices and conditions
• Establish and maintain relationships with federal and state OSHA programs
• Assist with managing the worker’s compensation program for the region
• Participate Indiana quarterly claims reviews and help investigate accidents
• Assist with the return-to-work process for injured employees
• Collaborate with project teams to sustain the IIF philosophy

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree Indiana Industrial Safety, Safety Management, Oregon related field
• 6-8 years of experience Indiana field and office safety and health program management, with a construction industry background preferred
• Knowledge of state and federal safety laws and regulations, including dust control and storm water management
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
• OSHA 500 Trainer Card for the construction industry (Oregon ability to obtain)
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards
