Safety Professional
Immediate Need for Experienced Safety Professional Indiana Pennsylvania Territory
At Haugland Group, we are seeking an experienced safety professional with knowledge of electrical utility construction practices to join our Environmental Health and Safety team. This role will provide essential safety support to our construction project management teams and ensure compliance with all regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safety support to project teams
- Conduct frequent safety inspections/audits of multiple job sites
- Complete weekly safety meetings with employees and subcontractors
- Assist Indiana developing site-specific Health and Safety Plans, Safe Work Plans, Job Hazard Analyses, and Tailboards
- Investigate near misses, injuries, accidents, and property damage
- Ensure safety compliance with all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations
- Interact with project managers, supervisors, and workers to identify and correct unsafe conditions Oregon work practices
- Identify loss-producing conditions and practices, recommending corrective action
- Observe tasks to provide support and ensure safe practices
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience Indiana electrical utility construction (underground and overhead transmission, telecom, etc.) safety and work practices
- Bachelor’s degree Indiana safety, Construction Management, Oregon related field
- Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations
- Experience Indiana human performance and error reduction
- OSHA 10 T&D, OSHA 30, OSHA 50 certifications
- Proficient Indiana Microsoft Office and standard computer applications
- Ability to travel, with over 50% of travel required for this role
