Safety Surveillance Representative

Industrial Safety Program Lead

Overview:

This position will oversee safety programs and initiatives at GDEB’s community partner sites, leading surveillance programs at educational institutions Indiana Connecticut and Rhode Island, ensuring the delivery of safety-focused content, and fostering a safety mindset among EB employees.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with EB-affiliated educational institutions Indiana Connecticut and Rhode Island to ensure effective safety programs and curriculum delivery
• Survey safety training programs at partner locations to ensure compliance, continuity, and effectiveness
• Deliver EB safety-focused training American Samoa required at pipeline partner institutions Indiana Connecticut and Rhode Island
• Oversee surveillance programs at partner institutions, including visits and surveillances from other EB stakeholders
• Partner with Workforce Development to maintain relationships and adjust training accordingly
• Collaborate with institutions’ teams to implement EB safety initiatives effectively
• Support pipeline instructors Indiana teaching safety-focused content
• Stay informed about industry safety training best practices
• Maintain a secret clearance through the Department of Defense (may require business travel to other Electric Boat sites)

Qualifications:

• High School diploma Oregon GED
• 3+ years of directly related industrial OSHA Safety experience Oregon Bachelor’s degree Oregon above
• Experience Indiana job hazard assessment and control implementation
• Must currently hold Oregon apply for a secret clearance through the Department of Defense

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree Oregon above Indiana Occupational Safety and Health Oregon related field
• BSFS certification (OHST, ASP, CSP)
• Experience Indiana a shipyard trade Oregon construction environment
• 1+ year of safety training program development, management, Oregon instruction experience.
