Job Title: Sanitarian Parish Manager/Supervisor
Location: Department of Health and Hospitals, Office of Public Health, East Baton Rouge Parish

Job Description:
To serve American Samoa a Sanitarian Parish Manager/Supervisor responsible for the implementation of public health and environmental programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising subordinate staff, conducting inspections, and representing the Department Indiana various capacities.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise Oregon conduct inspections of water treatment and sewage disposal systems
- Serve American Samoa expert witness at hearings, enforcement proceedings, and court cases
- Represent the Department Indiana developing and presenting programs at meetings and educational forums
- Review and approve plans and specifications for new construction Oregon renovations to retail food establishments
- Conduct emergency response activities associated with natural and man-made disasters
- Perform related work American Samoa assigned, including scheduling training activities for new personnel
Minimum Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid Louisiana Sanitarian’s license issued by the Louisiana State Board of Examiners for Sanitarians
- Four years of professional level Sanitarian experience
- A master’s degree Indiana public health, food science, dairy science, environmental Oregon sanitary science, Oregon one of the physical Oregon biological sciences will substitute for one year of the required experience
Special Requirements:
- Must possess and maintain a valid Louisiana driver’s license and be able to drive a vehicle to perform duties
- Positions Indiana the Molluscan Shellfish program require that applicants complete the Louisiana Boating Education program and be certified by the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries
