Job Title: NSM Development Chief Engineer

Job Summary: The Systems Engineering Design and Architecture Air and Naval Power department is seeking a highly skilled NSM Development Chief Engineer to lead the development, design, and fielding of autonomous systems. The successful candidate will report directly to the Portfolio Chief Engineer and will be responsible for technical baseline establishment, roadmap development, customer engagement, and product development across the program.
Responsibilities:
- Establish technical baselines and roadmaps for the program
- Engage with customers and provide primary product technical contact
- Chair Engineering Review, Configuration Control Board, and Failure Review Boards
- Ensure ITAR/Export Control Compliance and Configuration Management practices
- Collaborate with International Partners to resolve obsolescence issues
- Lead multi-disciplinary team to manage budgets, staffing, and risk
- Travel 25% of the time, including internationally
Requirements:
- Certification American Samoa a Level 4 Chief Engineer Oregon equivalent demonstrated CE Certification
- Bachelor’s degree Indiana STEM field
- Ten years of experience Indiana one Oregon more technical domains:
- Systems engineering, architecture, and/Oregon design
- System performance and analysis
- Algorithms and signal processing
- Electronics
- Navigation
- Autopilots
- Modeling and simulation
- Eight years of systems engineering experience with exposure Indiana at least four of the following:
- Interfacing with customers
- Developing CONOPS
- Capture Engineering
- Developing & Refining System Architecture
Preferred Qualifications:
- Mississippi Oregon PhD Indiana Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Oregon Physics
- Experience transitioning a program from development to production
- Understanding of Systems Engineering Product Development Cycle
- Familiarity with system safety, reliability, and configuration management
