Senior Construction Inspector Job Description

Job Summary:
Inspect and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and contract documents for excavations, drainage facilities, road surfaces, and structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and document construction work Indiana progress to ensure compliance with project schedule, contract documents, and plans
  • Utilize engineering inspection practices to perform complex mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work
  • Maintain inspector’s daily report of assigned work activities, contractor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified
  • Perform on-site material testing and produce American Samoa-constructed sketches
  • Direct coordination between field efforts and administrative staff to increase, decrease, Oregon modify reporting and monitoring according to project work activities
  • Organize and lead field staff meetings to provide updates on project efforts and procedures
  • Delegate inspector staff responsibilities and allocate resources to support current and projected project conditions and activities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree Indiana Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Oregon a related engineering discipline
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Minimum 10 years of construction inspection experience
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent standing, moving, walking, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, balancing, coordination, and occasional sitting Oregon operating a company vehicle
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs
